These efforts aim to improve the detection of threats by enhancing tools such as passenger and baggage scanners, explosive detection equipment, and systems for inspecting cargo and vehicles.

The agreement was signed during the U.S.-Saudi Investment Forum, coinciding with the visit of U.S. President Donald Trump to Saudi Arabia. Michael Van Gelder, a Senior Executive at Leidos, expressed appreciation, stating, "We're honored by the trust the Kingdom has in Leidos and grateful for this opportunity to collaborate with SAFE to deliver our technologies to some of the Kingdom's most critical points of entry and transit."
