Membership
focused on four key areas: nuclear energy project support, hydrogen technology development for heating and industry, emerging technologies to improve energy efficiency, and transformation of industrial processes to cut carbon emissions. The agreement has an initial term of two years, with the possibility of two one-year extensions.

Jacobs will apply its extensive experience in energy systems and infrastructure to deliver insights and solutions tailored to DESNZ’s strategic objectives. The company’s existing portfolio includes support for the UK’s National Gas network, contributions to the Hinkley Point C nuclear power station, and engineering services for the MTerra Solar project in the Philippines. In the U.S., Jacobs is leading major transmission and generation projects for Xcel Energy. Jacobs Executive Vice President Keith Lawson emphasized, "The backbone of prosperous communities and economic growth depend on resilient, sustainable and secure energy. We’ll draw on decades of experience in energy systems and infrastructure to bring DESNZ deeper insight in their mission for a cleaner, secure energy future in the UK."
