A $185 million re-compete task order has been obtained by General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) to supply cybersecurity services to the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC). The contract, which has four option years in addition to a one-year base period, was awarded by the 772nd Enterprise Sourcing Squadron at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida. The Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center's (AFCEC) division is in charge of property management, design and construction, environmental compliance, and restoration, as well as facility investment planning. Under the new contract, GDIT will develop innovative strategies to mitigate cybersecurity risks to the Air Force's critical infrastructure, including airfield control systems, building automation, life safety, and utility monitoring. This contract extends GDIT's over 50-year history of supporting the Air Force, following their significant achievement in 2023, when they were awarded all initial task orders on a $4.5 billion indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity security support services contract.
