Biography

Bala Sreenivasan is the Global Head of AI, Transformation and Large Deals at Cognizant Technology Solutions’ Intuitive Operations and Automation for multiple industries including Healthcare, Life Sciences, Retail, Logistics, Manufacturing, CPG, Travel and Hospitality. In his role as Global Head of AI Transformation, Bala leads a cross-practice team to drive organizations through AI-powered transformation helping organizations stay ahead in an increasingly digital and competitive landscape.

With a strong focus on customer experience, Bala integrates process, human and AI-driven strategies to enhance how organizations interact with and serve their customers. Bala brings an innovative approach to design integrated operating models where human and digital workers collaborate effectively to drive productivity and customer-centric outcomes. In partnership with hyperscalers, Bala helps design AI-powered embedded business process solutions and industry offerings leveraging the most advanced technologies like Agentic AI/ Gen AI to create seamless, personalized, and efficient customer journeys, driving satisfaction and loyalty.

Previously, he created and led process excellence and transformation for Americas region where he drove continuous improvements and transformation through focused design, development and delivery of lean six-sigma and automation solutions. Prior to that, he led operating model transformation practice at Cognizant Business Consulting helping banks, capital markets and insurance companies.

Bala earned his Master of Business Administration from Babson College, Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from the University of Madras and Chief Digital Officer certificate at Kellogg School of Management.
