Biography

Niladri Shekhar Dutta is the Global Head of Telco Consulting and Industry Solutions at Virtusa Corporation, where he leads business-driven telco transformation programs across various geographies. His expertise includes enterprise architecture strategy, 5G ecosystems, IoT, operational transformation, analytics, and AI. Niladri has successfully driven new business through consulting and transformation projects in markets across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East, helping Virtusa expand its Telco Consulting practice and gain market traction.

Shekhar has spent his career delivering engagements for client stakeholders and providing value derived from the deliverables and artifacts produced. Prior to joining Virtusa, Shekhar was responsible for spearheading AI Innovation, Data Strategy, and Technology Solution Sales at Ericsson. He was a part of the Business Area Managed Services and was responsible for driving Consulting and Advisory work as well as Solution Sales as part of his job profile, contributing close to $100 million in P&L across various projects globally. He also worked at Deloitte, where he was responsible for driving digital transformation, cyber strategy, and risk advisory services in Telecommunications, Media, and Technology (TMT) for clients across India, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa.  

One of Shekhar’s greatest accomplishments to date was spearheading the establishment of the Virtusa Telco Consulting practice, which started 18 months ago and achieving record signings of $6 million and $4 million in revenue during its first year which is expected to triple this year based on the market traction.
