Biography
With more than 25 years in engineering, consulting, and management, Aditya Pathak is the Vice President and Head of Automotive, Transportation, & Logistics for Cognizant, a multinational information technology and consulting company.
Headquartered in Teaneck, New Jersey, Cognizant helps clients modernize their technology, reimagine processes, and transform experiences to help them stay ahead of the competition. Pathak is driving Cognizant’s automotive industry charter by leveraging AI to accelerate client transformations across Software Defined Vehicles, Enterprise Modernization, Digital Manufacturing, and Customer Experience transformations across the shop-buy-own lifecycle. As a keen observer of the competition between the major Automotive ecosystems across continents, he is helping his clients become more competitive and navigate the accelerating shifts in global supply chain of automotive products and services.
In his prior roles, he has led Cognizant’s manufacturing and logistics SBU for the US-East region, and had also served as a director and client partner for providers and alliances. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in electronics and telecommunications from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), an MBA from the Indian Institutes of Management, and executive education from Harvard University and The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Industry head for Automotive, Transportation & Logistics at Cognizant, leading a $450M business unit and 7,000+ associates. Responsible for growth in North America across Automotive OEMs, Tier-X suppliers, new age Auto-Tech companies, as well as Trucking, Railroad, Shipping and Logistics companies.
Accomplishments:
1) Turned-around a multi-year declining business – 50%+ growth in three years
2) Pivoted and refocused strategy on driving Customer Experience Transformation, Enterprise
Modernization and Product softwareization journeys
3) Built new technical capabilities in Software Defined Vehicles and industry competency in Logistics
4) Conceptualized and implemented the “Client Engagement Champions” model to improve NPS,
accelerate innovation and drive organic growth, while improving margins by 220 bps.
5) Created industry focused alliances with AWS, Salesforce, Google and ServiceNow
6) Elevated industry positioning in Everest, Avassant and HFS reports and increased brand visibility by
speaking in multiple forums and publishing thought leadership pieces
