Bain & Company has formed a strategic partnership with Terralytiq, a firm specializing in supply chain emission analytics, to support businesses in reducing carbon emissions, particularly Scope 3. The collaboration builds on joint efforts that began in 2023 and will now focus on helping clients meet near-term climate targets through advanced analytics and artificial intelligence. Together, the firms aim to assist clients in minimizing carbon output and operational costs by improving the accuracy of product-level emission data and automating supplier communications, streamlining data collection, and speeding up decarbonization planning.

The partnership combines Bain’s consulting experience with Terralytiq’s AI-enabled platform to offer businesses a detailed understanding of emissions across their procurement and supply chain networks. Early users have significantly cut down data-gathering timelines while identifying areas of financial and operational risk. The alliance is currently serving clients across several sectors, including energy, technology, and manufacturing, and is expected to reach more industries soon. Torsten Lichtenau, Senior Partner and Global Head of Bain & Company’s Climate Change and Decarbonization solution stated, “This strategic partnership will give our clients access to enhanced analytics tracking capabilities backed by Bain proprietary benchmarks and strategic insight, turning raw data into board-ready cases aimed at informing business leaders who are working to crack Scope 3 and beyond.” With this partnership, Bain and Terralytiq aim to offer practical tools that support measurable progress in corporate sustainability efforts.
